Riverhouse
This 1970’s condo, set on the shores of the Willamette with a stunning beachfront view, was ready for a refresh that balanced functionality with style. With one resident facing mobility challenges that may increase over time, we made creating an accessible, long-term living space a top priority.
We started with the kitchen, which had been cut off from the rest of the home and lacked both storage and function. By adding a peninsula between the kitchen and dining area, we opened up the layout to capture a beautiful river view and flood the space with natural light.
Next, we repositioned the primary suite to take advantage of the riverfront setting, added a dedicated home office, and designed a wheelchair-accessible bathroom—all within a limited footprint. We’re thrilled with the transformation and confident our clients will enjoy their riverfront lifestyle for many years to come.
