The Lake House
Our clients first request for this luxury remodel was “we want the WOW factor”. Challenge accepted. This was already an incredible lakefront house with amazing views, but the interior was pretty dated.
The primary bath had some pretty serious spatial challenges, it was a big room but the spaces were cut up and it included quite possibly the largest tub surround we’d ever seen. Some careful space planning solved the bathroom planning and also gave us room for a better kitchen pantry.
This is a great example of the finished product turning out completely different than our client’s original ideas. The catalyst was the beautiful piece of stone that we found for the kitchen island, it contained all of the colors of the lake and the surrounding landscape. Once we made that selection, everything else just flowed from there.
It’s always interesting to see where the spark comes from- sometimes you know exactly where you’re headed, sometimes it’s a completely unexpected thing. As soon as I saw the stone, I knew it was perfect.
A huge thank you to our clients for trusting their designer and letting us lead them to the wow factor! They love it, and ultimately that’s what really matters.
